History

The Volkswagen Kübelwagen literally meant “bucket” or “tub” car. The Kübel as it was known was a light military vehicle designed by Ferdinand Porsche and used by the Wehrmacht and Waffen-SS during World War 2. The first prototype rolled out in 1938 and the Kübel was produced throughout the war. This is an original Kübelwagen that was built in 1942. It is in full working order has been used in films before. This model is also readily available and experienced in film work. We have 3 original Kübelwagens within our inventory in the Midwestern United States.
