History

This type 82 Volkswagen "Kubelwagen" Serial number shows it was made in first week of October 1944 and used during the "Battle of the Bulge". It was found abandoned without battle damage in January,1945 (probably out of fuel). It was used as a prop in the "Victory Museum" in Belgium until the museum closed in the late 90's and brought to the USA where it was fully restored in 1997. It has been in numerous films including "Wolfhound" and "Return to the Hiding Place".
